Since retirement, I have volunteered to co-chair PRO ACT, a grassroots organization dedicated to helping people with addiction to alcohol or other drugs access recovery resources. I also chair PRO ACT's Southeast Pennsylvania Public Policy Committee.

Remembering When OUR Soldiers Were Tortured and How We Treated the Torturers Those of us old enough to remember WWII recall the horror of stories told then about torture. We recoiled at the way our warriors were treated in prison camps or on forced marches. We were emotionally stunned when the news described the rescue of innocent victims of horrible imprisonment and worse.
