Another consequence of global warming – ocean dead zones There are special areas in the oceans called coastal upwelling ecosystems. In recent years there have been significant deviations from the norm of upwelling in these areas. Massive phytoplankton blooms are being observed. The consequence of the blooms combined with changes in wind patterns results in a zone of low oxygen. The water oxygen level gets so low it is insufficient oxygen for most animals and they suffocate and die.

30,000 children under the age of five die every day Nearly 11 million children die before reaching the age of five each year. That's the same as approximately 30,000 children each day or the equivalent 10 September 11th tragedies worth of children dieing each and every day.

NSAIDs (Advil, Aleve, Vioxx...) increases risk of first heart attack The authors found "a clear but moderate association (less than two-fold) between first MI and current use of NSAIDs." The association between first heart attack and NSAID existed in conventional, semi-selective, and COX-2 NSAIDs. The risk of first heart attack varied widely with celecoxib (Celebrex ®) having the lowest at an increased risk of 6% and etoricoxib (Arcoxia®) having a huge increased risk of 121%.
