Rev. Gerry is a retired clinical social worker and ordained New Thought minister. She was the co-founder and former co-chair of the AZ Democratic Progressive Caucus, a caucus within the Democratic party designed to amplify the voice of progressive issue activism to the party. She facilitated the Gandhi/King/Chavez Seasons for Nonviolence activities in Tucson for 10 years, wrote nonviolnece education materials for PAXIS INstitute for 8 years before retiring. Before that, she worked for almost 30 years as a therapist, primarily within the criminal justice system and in substance abuse treatment.
