Polarization
"Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God." - Thomas
Jefferson
Many today remark at just how polarized we have become in this country,
and shake their heads as if that were a bad thing. But Saul Alinsky said
long ago that change can't come until there is complete polarization.
Today we are dividing into two groups, those who are PRO American, and the
CON-servatives (NeoCONs, RepubliCONs, etc). Eventually, many of the CONs
who are now in power will be tried and CONvicted of treason and crimes
against humanity. They have only themselves to blame. As someone in a
discussion group I read recently remarked, it's not that the greedy
corporate fascists haven't always been there, its that only recently have
they become so drunk with power that they've torn off their masks and
tried to grab everything in sight. Had they remained in the background and
moderated their greed, their positions would be secure. But, by taking
their putsch to the limit, they've polarized our society, and insured
their eventual downfall. We can't know how long it will take, but they
will certainly end up as reviled as their predecessors the Nazis in
postwar Germany. Let's just hope it doesn't take the 12 years it took for
Hitler's evil regime to fail.
To paraphrase another organizer long ago, our goal is not to bring peace,
but a sword. We come not as "uniters", but to bring division.
For only that will usher in change. On the eventual ''day of judgement,''
the sheep will be separated from the goats. Your job now is to decide
which side of the fence you will be on. Choose wisely.
