Drudge Attacks Clinton Book Promotion

Rob Kall

OpEdNews.Com

Right Wing Echo Chamber team member devoted almost an entire column-- one third of his front page to a list of links to articles from mostly small local media reporting slower sales for Clinton's book.

The first two links report positive info, but then Drudge goes negative. This is one more way the right wing uses Drudge to reinforce their message and media goals. In this case, Drudge is sending a message to the loyal Republican base that in many areas, Clinton's book is not soaring. It's not hard to read in between the lines-- Don't buy this book.

Drudge often uses book sales, especially initial sales in  the first week to compare politicians and media people. He did it with Hillary, with O'Reilly... but this set of links that tell the tale of locations where the book is not flying off the shelf seems the most blatant. Obviously, when people read that a book is very hot, they are more likely to consider buying it, and when it is reported that sales are flat, they'll be turned off from buying it.

Here are the links, since Drudge's links move so often, taken from the Drudge website at 12:40 PM Wednesday.

Rob began his Bottom-up Radio show, broadcast on WNJC 1360 AM to Metro Philly, also available on iTunes, covering the transition of our culture, business and world from predominantly Top-down (hierarchical, centralized, authoritarian, patriarchal, big)  to bottom-up (egalitarian, local, interdependent, grassroots, archetypal feminine and small.) Recent long-term projects include a book, Bottom-up-- The Connection Revolution, debillionairizing the planet and the Psychopathy Defense and Optimization Project.
