| In Spite of Pollsters,
Kucinich Second Place Position Seems Even Firmer
by Rob Kall
OpEdNews.Com
Last week, I wrote an article
reporting impressive stats for Dennis Kucinich, who is generally
slotted by the polls in the third tier of democratic presidential
candidates. My analysis of Alexa.com candidate website statistics showed
that Kucinich's site was in second place. A check today shows he's
consolidated that position.
Now, here's more evidence, not by poll takers, but by massive numbers
of people, the millions of readers who are Amazon.com customers,
that Kucinich is much hotter than the polls allow. And these polls are
based on people who have spent money because of interest in their
candidate.
A reader, Jackie Elek, wrote in yesterday, reporting that Dennis
Kucinich's book is in second place on amazon. Here are the stats she
gathered, and her comments.
>>I thought these sales rankings (12/12/03) of the Democratic
candidate's books from Amazon.com also helps support your conclusions.
H. Dean - Winning Back America - 852
D. Kucinich - A Prayer For America - 1473
W. Clark - Winning Modern Wars... - 1484
J. Edwards - Four Trials - 4346
J. Kerry - A Call To Service - 22,102
A. Sharpton - Al on America - 90,920
J. Lieberman - Joe Lieberman is a Pious Liberal... - 1,152,234
I couldn't find a listing for Gephart or Braun.
Interesting, eh?
With Hope for Dennis,

As has been reported, ABC
News Pulls Reporter off Kucinich Campaign,
the media use polls to justify eliminating coverage of candidates. This
may seem like a parsimonious use of media resources. But the truth is, it
is a dangerous strategy that further limits dialogue and diversity of
political opinion.
In
fairness, I should make it clear that Dennis Kucinich is my first choice
for presidential nominee, and that I have made multiple contributions to
his campaign. If you are a Kucinich supporter, you should have made
a contribution or two by now. If you really support him, and have not yet
sent a contribution, please consider doing so today, even if it's your
first political contribution ever, even if it's only five dollars.
