Swift Boat Veterans for TruthBy James Boyne Having just watched the entire Sunday News devoted to the controversy
of the scurrilous, despicable TV ad put on by the secretive Bush “world
renowned philanthropic” organization called the “Swift Boat
Veterans for Truth”, I now know how to solve the controversy once
and for all. Here is a list of all the other organizations that would like

Truth Lie Detectors Association for Truth Oh yes, did I include Bush’s Swift Boat Veterans for Truth? “Find the truth and you will be free”. One man’s truth is another man’s lie. One man’s lie is another man’s truth. There are different degrees of truthfulness. Bad men twist the truth and interweave it with lies and half-truths. Some people always tell the truth, as they believe it. Some people lie, when they truly believe otherwise. Some individuals deceive. Some men get others to lie for them and some are lied to but do not recognize the lie and then pass on the lie as truth. Dead people neither lie nor tell the truth but often their families seek the truth in their name. We often catch people in a lie. We sometimes catch them in a truth. I am a lifelong conservative Republican who voted for Goldwater, Nixon, Ford, Dole, Bush (Daddy) and Bush (that Son-of-a-Bush). The day I decided to vote Democrat (for any Democrat for President) was the day I saw President Bush stand on top of the rubble of the World Trade Center as it was still smoldering with 3000 dead Americans and use it as a “photo opportunity” and mumble the words “Wur gonna get da folks dat knocked deese buildings down”. The 19 wonderful “folks” who knocked the buildings down were obviously already dead. And to this day, after the biggest manhunt in history and two invasions we still have not found the head “folk”, Osama Bin Laden. When will we finally find all the “folks” who knocked the buildings down? Why don’t we just set up a special city out in Nevada and build some big buildings and the terrorists can come an practice flying jets into those buildings and practice “knocking ‘em down”? I don’t know when President Bush actually works. He seems to be in a
constant state of campaigning with crowds of adoring, applauding
supporters----just like the controlled, applauding mobs that always came
out and cheered for Saddam Hussein. When Bush isn’t campaigning, then he
is at his Crawford, We as Americans must be nuts. If Bush can still get nearly 50% of the vote in November we have truly been hoodwinked by the Wizard of Oz. President Bush is just like the Wizard in the Wizard of Oz before the Wizard was caught hiding behind the curtain. Remember when the Wizard was furiously pulling the levers, pushing the buttons, making the lights go on and off, making the noise of honking horns, lightening, thunder, and diversion by confusion. And like the Wizard who gave out diplomas and certificates of appreciation when he was “found out”, Bush has given out a token $350 billion tax cut to placate the ignorant masses of people. Between 50 million Americans with no health care insurance; 18 million
unemployed; 6 million bankruptcies; 3000 killed on 9/11; 1000 soldiers
killed in Iraq; 140,000 soldiers languishing in Iraq; a stock market that
refuses to budge over a 4 year period (after crashing); jobs being sent
overseas by the millions with a President that says “this is good”;
denying Americans the right to buy prescription drugs from Canada (with a
Presidential “wink” to the drug companies); awarding $550 million the
pharmaceutical industry under the guise of Medicare reform; scandalous
corruption by CEO’s of Enron, Worldcom and other corporate icons with
close ties to the White House; the price of gas at $2 a gallon and oil at
an all time high of $48 a barrel (after we conquered and liberated the
second richest oil nation (Iraq) on earth; soldiers who make $18,000 a
year to drive a truck in Iraq while Halliburton truck drivers make
$120,000 a year; college students who must pay $100,000 for a four year
college education at any private mediocre college; a lack of any
enforceable immigration policy that is changing our nation into a foreign
land so corporations have an endless supply of cheap foreign labor right
here in America; our crumbling, imploding inner city elementary and high
school educational system; Veterans health care facilities that are coming
apart at the seems; $300 billion spent on killing and destruction in Iraq
instead of building and improving America; a $500 billion surplus that
turned into a $500 billion deficit (a difference of $1 trillion) in four
years;-------this President has been a total flop. And now we have the media obsessed with Swift Boat Veterans for Truth----a group of eight sinister, conniving, manipulative jerks with ulterior motives that are using the airwaves to keep Bush and his bunch of crooks and cronies in office. Maybe when it costs $150 to fill up one’s gas tank and 90% of Americans can’t afford any health insurance we will all wake up. Maybe when the draft is re-instituted we will wake up. Maybe when the Dow Jones Industrials hits 5000 and the NASDAQ hits 500 we will wake up. Who knows? This President is a flop.
