Hi, my name is David R. Bullivant, and I have voted solid Republican my whole life. Indeed, I have proudly called myself a conservative Republican and for the most part a member of the Christian Right. I now feel betrayed by the Republican party. When I saw Not-So-Presidential Bush not just back the Kennedy-McCain scamnesty bill but push it hard, the scales finally fell from my eyes. He is not on my side. In fact, there are not many Republicans out there I can identify with. In terms of the presidential candidates, I can mostly identify with Congressman Ron Paul of Texas, Tom Tancredo, and up until the last debate Mike Huckabee; however, Hucksterbee got my goat with his punkish attack on Ron Paul, basically baiting him in an attempt to get him to say something to alienate his passionate and loyal supporters. I don't think it worked. Mike Huckabee has shown himself to be nothing more than someone who is pandering to the so-called "top-tier" Republican candidates in hopes of being chosen as their vice presidential candidate, so he is nothing more than a political whore in my opinion.
