My wife and I are senior retirees (she was a registered nurse)and recently purchased a 20 acre farm (2007)in growing zone 6 of south central Kentucky. Recent changes in the economy have prompted us to get involved in a more sustainable style of living, primarily growing ,processing and canning our own meat and vegetables.
