Peter G Cohen, artist and activist, is a veteran of W.W. II, a father and grandfather. For 57 years he painted mostly figurative paintings of people working, warring, psychological studies and, finally, a series on fertilization within the ovum. During the Vietnam war he headed a local peace group and then ran for Congress as an independent peace candidate, 1968. In 1969-'70 he was Exec. Dir. of the New Democratic Coalition of PA. During this period he developed the idea that political organizing is far more effective than demonstrations or petitions. This perspective is embodied in his website, nukefreeworld.com, which encourages people to organize by congressional districts.
