PETA Needs Women!

What would you expect if PETA and Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream came together for a common cause?
Extra straw in the stalls? Improved heaters in the barns? Organic feed for all? Nope. PETA wants human breast milk in B&J's ice cream rather than cow's milk. Why? Well, to emancipate the oppressed dairy cow, of course!

"It was like found money," so said the attorney negotiating a carbon offset credits deal between a business entity and Calfornia-based forestry administrators. Meanwhile, who's going to guarentee that the money is actually used in the manner specified? Certainly not the attornies because they've made their money and are now looking for the next "carbon dupe".

When good intentions have bad results

So you think switching to an electric vehicle (i.e., plug-in or plug-in hybrid) is beneficial to the environment, right? Well, think again. Much like the plastic bag was promoted in the 1970s as a replacement to the paper bag only to find out that paper is the better medium here, I tell you, switching to an electric vehicle will have an increased and adverse impact upon the environment.

The recent Nobel Peace Prize winner, Al Gore, was contacted by Mr. Stossel with regard to the piece and its subject. former Vice President Gore responded by stating that, "The debate is over." But is it?
