A South African court ruled in favor of a Muslim group's petition to halt a scheduled event known as "Bible burning day" Friday in Johannesburg.
The Bible burning event scheduled for September 11 by Mohammed Vawda was stopped in the 11th hour on Friday by High Court Judge Sita Kolbe. The ruling bans the burning of Bible as well as any other religious books.
