Is the media free and open when it comes to the war on Muslims, I mean, terror? You decide.
Monday, November 22, 2010 David Suzuki Foundation: Senate vote to kill Climate Act disrespects Canadians and democracy (2 comments)
Canada's Senate is an unelected legislative body said to provide "sober second thought," before bills become laws, yet it rarely challenges the decisions of the House of Commons. Last week, however, on a day most Liberal Party Senators were absent, the Conservative Senators killed the House-approved Climate Change Accountability Act in a surprise vote. The oilman Prime Minister's hand is suspected by everyone.

Sunday, September 5, 2010 Did Scott Brown really win in Massachusetts? (3 comments)
FAITH-BASED VOTING? The victory by Republican Scott Brown over supposed shoo-in Martha Coakley was taken and trumpeted as a "sign" of the Tea Party's rise to influence. But the vote was 97% electronic with absolutely no audit mechanisms used. Where votes were counted by hand, the Democrat Coakley defeated Brown by a margin of 2.8%; where votes were counted secretly by machine, Brown defeated Coakley by a margin of 5.2%.

The probably-innocent Davis looks set to die at the hands of the government in less than ten days. Visit www.amnestyusa.org/troydavis for details.

Tony Newman of Drug Policy Alliance was Heath Ledger's neighbor. He hopes America will now wake up to face overdose risk squarely. The Sunday Times, May 6, 2007
By Michael Sheridan
Known in China as the '12/8/94 incident,' a tragic theater fire that killed 288 pupils threatens to focus long repressed anger of the masses toward Beijing's leaders.
The theater was also full of officials that night, and they all escaped because the students were told these words that haunt survivors still: "Everyone keep quiet. Don't move. Let the leaders go first."
