I was born in Berlin/West-Germany in 1951 where I spend my childhood.My youth I lived in the western part of Germany where I went also to school and graduated with a Bachlor in Psy/social-science.I was politicaly activ in the Green Party and worked on University-Politics.After getting very ill,I moved with my family to Florida and now I am retired.My husband is a Vietnam-Vet and we met after his Tours of Duty in Germany.We have A daughter and a son and 3 grandchildren.I also love animals big and small and I love PETA.My hobby is my big garden.On every place I used to live,I planted a tree.If everybody would and could do this we would have a nicer {greener}world.

Do we have a true and honorable reason to celebrate 'Memorial Day' or is it just another long weekend to party?Who thinks about all the innocent victims of war.I am not only talking about our soldiers,who died in recent wars,but civilians who got innocently murdered.Who cares when the beer tastes good and the meat is on the barbeque?
