Wednesday, February 16, 2011 Is libertarianism the answer? | The Greanville Post

Wednesday, January 12, 2011 The rise of the IT guerrillas Patrice Greanville
The WikiLeaks IT guerrillas realize that dependable information--the truth about the real state of the world and the forces responsible for the endless crises, crimes, horrific unnecessary suffering, and wholesale terrorism--can indeed ultimately make people free, and aim to facilitate the process. The enormous beneficial potential of WikiLeaks seems to be obvious to many top thinkers on the left, including Daniel Ellsberg, the brave whistleblower to whom Julian Assange is most frequently compared, but, not too surprisingly, the point either eludes or is shamelessly ignored by prominent liberals like Katha Pollitt and Rachel Maddow.

"My law enforcement career dealt with contamination of the air, water and land, threatening the basic quality of human life. Industry in America needed to be properly regulated and violators relentlessly pursued by the federal, state and local governments. Otherwise they gave you widgets plus some surprisingly nasty free gifts: asthma, genetic mutations, filthy air, and lakes and oceans where the fish gasped..." Must read!
Friday, March 16, 2007 Cyrano\'s Journal Online | The liberal war on democracy By John Pilger (1 comments)
A crisp comparison of the vibrant, from the grassroots-on-up democracy being built by Pres. Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, with 65% support, and the flaccid, deeply undemocratic regimes we have now in the West, and still insist on calling them "democratic".
