Albert Wight has a Ph.D. in psychology, served his country in two wars and the cold war, and has lived and worked overseas for over twenty years, including many years in Muslim countries. He was in a building that was car-bombed by terrorists, was in Kuwait when Saddam attacked, and in Pakistan when 30,000 persons volunteered to go to Iraq to fight the Americans, but were stopped at the border by Iran. He was in Moscow shortly after the fall of the Soviet system, and saw the die-hard Communists marching in the streets. He has seen the proliferation of Osama bin Laden T shirts in a moderate Muslim country since the Iraq war.
