Charles L. Riccillo

58 years old,B.A. Theatre University of Wyoming 1975, Master of Fine Arts, Technical Theatre emphasis on scenic design, University of North Carolina,Chapel Hill 1983.
Roman Catholic, Judeo-Christian Bhuddist.
Professions are & continue to be: professor of theatre, actor, singer, composer, lyricist, playwright of full length adult, and children's plays, free-lance writer.
My University teaching was short lived, and over the years, having had many surgeries, now experiencing a personal & professional renaissance, making writer submissions in many different genres.
Off morphine FINALLY nearly 2 years after multiple cervical spinal surgeries, now, as I would say in song lyrics: "I love the life I live, and live the life I love!"
As I can sing it, nearly exactly like Sinatra: "Regrets - I've had a few, but then, again, too few to mention...and I did it MY WAY!" - taking for myself the "road less travelled."
Many years divorced from a marriage of 13 years.
My origin entirely Italian: Siciliano and Molisane.
I've traced both sides of my family genealogy to the early 1700s through civil records.
A gourmet cook and lover of wines.
An unabashed Democrat and liberal, my memories of Republican administrations treatment of my family are ENTIRELY negative, with uncle Joe(married to my father's sister), and father, Pascal, bopth union men & railroaders. Nero fiddled,Rome burned. Eisenhower golfed, tricky Dick lied, Reagan Trickled down - we suffered!
I'm a devout Roman Catholic, Judeo-Christian Bhuddist.
Still single, loving the ladies, I believe in offering well deserved gratuitous compliments as a gentleman.
As for experience, except for travel to Europe, South America, Africa, and Asia (a BIG gap I'll narrow in coming years!) I've pretty well "been there-done that!"
By nature a romantic, I believe in love at first sight, having wisdom enough now to know that "falling in love" is not so easy as "standing in love!"
People find me amiable, cheerful, and gracious by nature, welcoming kindred souls to my life - particularly those involved in writing, songwriting, and many different arts.
Having adapted many Neapolitan Italian songs into quite singable English versions, I believe in faithfully elucidating, not changing, the original meaning of each opus.
My beliefs are such that I consider some of us,whether by God's mysterious direction or karmic choice, are put on this earth to bring joy and truth, as well as fight for right, not just for one's self, but for ALL people - particularly the downtrodden.
Folks interested in cuisine, history, genealogy, languages, heraldry, singing...will find in my presencd a warm and safe port.
I trust each person met, unless experience proves that vain.
Among my favorite affirmations:
"I have all that I need to be happy."
"What goes around DEFINITELY comes around!"
"We are each seeking a path of return to God however we conceive Deity."
"I am whole, complete, happy, prosperous, powerful, and deserving."
"Have a care, my dear friend, what you think, what you say, what you do every day. And beware! In the end, in a blink, maybe two, what you think and you do, you become all too soon, come what may to you all in fair trade. So take care, lest in words you will end self-betrayed!"
Online, or in person you will find me agreeable but demanding of truth.
Free will, and a study of many philosophies and religions leads me to the conclusion that all people are brothers and sisters, and the golden rule applies with respect to ALL honest creeds.
Mere quantitative, scientific proof is fine, but experiential meaning's man's natural path, spiraling upward from his state on earth, to the Divine.
