I am a 72 year old widow who lives in the reddest of red California counties, Placer County. I moved here five years ago from the Chicago area and have still not recovered from the shock. I am a former teacher, girl scout leader, great books leader and school board member. When I moved to California I became involved with the Women Democrats of Placer County and have worked to elect Democratic candidates.
