I am a female dairy farmer from the heart of NY dairy country. My husband is a software engineer- which we joke- it supports my hobby. My political views lean to the left, but I can appreciate strict libertarian values as well. I made a presentation to my milk co-op regarding peak oil and offered some ideas what we could do as a group to mitigate the impacts. I purchased a bio diesel maker last fall, but have yet to make my first "batch" of renewable fuel. I have children ranging in ages from 1-21 and my goal is to educate them, make them think for themselves and make a better world than they are inheriting. It confounds me that the older ones have little interest in the very issues that will have profound impacts on their lives.
