Jonathan Leigh Solomon is a (retired) stand-up comedian who appeared regularly on "Late Night With David Letterman" and the "Late Show With David Letterman." He wrote, "Our long national nightmare is over," for Gerald Ford. Prior to consulting with Jonathan, Ford was planning to go with, "Wow, I'm president! Me! Gerry Ford! Now who do I gotta' pardon to keep this gig?"
