J. Edward Tremlett is a lot of things, currently. He's back in the states after a seven-year stint in Dubai, UAE. He's been published in such diverse places as The American Partisan, the International American, The End is Nigh, Pyramid Magazine and Worlds of Cthulhu. He's the hall monitor of Op Ed News and chief guardian against the OTOC Sleestak invasion, too, but don't tell anyone. They'll wonder what you've been smoking, and why you're not sharing.

J enjoys nothing more than kicking ass for common sense, however tempered by his own skewed viewpoint. As the song says, "Some have to dance / some have to kill." As King Mob would say, "Nice and Smooth."

Or was that Ray Davies? Hard to be sure. Things often change when you're not looking at them. Don't blink.

Birther Week in Review 6/4/11
Never a dull week, even when it IS a relatively dull week. Now with dueling resignation reasons, best sellers that aren't, and all the cornball "journalism" you can handle sober.

Have You Seen Breitbart's Weiner?
(13 comments) The real story is NOT the crotch photo, and who it was sent to. The real story is how it got into Rep. Weiner's account, who knew it was going to be sent, and what Andrew Breitbart knew, and when. Follow the bouncing balls...

"Where's the Birth Certificate?" by Jerome Corsi
(7 comments) The new, unfortunately-titled book about Obama's eligibility to be president is more of a dud than a bombshell when it comes to that question. Don't look to Corsi to provide a well-referenced argument on that matter.

Birtherism - Hey Farah, Where's the 15K?
Oh, poor Mr. Mustache! He actually was dumb enough to promise big money to Obama's birth hospital if the President would just release that pesky long-form Birth Certificate. Well... time to pay up!

Birtherism - The Last Laugh is on Joseph Farah
(1 comments) Another reminder that we should watch what we say in public places. Mr. Farah, still spinning madly after his world came apart, thinks this is just the next stage of the operation. But it's his end.

The Great Lie of the Birthers
(4 comments) A recent poll shows 51% of Republicans believe a demonstrable lie to be true. Why do we cling to falsehoods and eschew the truth? Is it stupidity, evil, intellectual laziness... or something else?
