I watch and consider. In this flow, some things touch me and often I may choose to respond, or not.
Just because I pay attention doesn't mean subjects-objects aren't ignored.
I am often amazed at how the word streams from impressions once promulgated may create diametrically opposed impressions in others.

It's The Insurance Companies, Stupid!!!
I was listening to the Sunday shows today and what I heard was, the Democrats and the Republicans, neither want to really change things, both want a system the continues the for profit Insurance Industry. It seems a little disingenuous, Insurance mandates for everyone, Medicare cuts for everyone except in the lucky deal States, taxes on individual policies, I'm looking for the benefits. I see none, except for the Insurance business. Any additional coverage they will be "forced" to extend will be more than compensated for by premium payers and who else, government subsidy. Who believes for a second that Insurance profits are going down or staffs and wages to bonuses are going to be trimmed to cover the People's Health Care?

Looking For The Heart
I slightly stressed over this title of a thus far rather nebulous blog. But it is time to put words to electronic paper. Once a quick mind and a healthy cynicism bring you to a rather artificial, generated world which encompasses you on all sides until that moment when it is distinguished from the absolute wonder of realizing yourself in a living universe, sometimes the heart gets lost. What is real? What deserves imputed value, intrinsic worth? The Hubble shows me the beginning of time, all I see are amorphous blobs of light against a dark background, sort of like a 60's mod art shop, without the colors and silly designs. It means absolutely nothing.

Simple, Make The Refusal of a Needed Medical Procedure, A Crime
The needed fix in Health care is not any of the "options" on the table of our esteemed status quo protecting statesmen in Washington DC. So what gives, what are they fighting over. Let me break it down for you. First, you have a group of Insurance lobbyists who want to get the Government out of health care by cutting Medicare and Medicaid but then expect Government to make having health Insurance a mandated requirement. Thus funneling all the money into Insurance coffers and under Insurance control.

Truth 2 Consequences 4 Tiger W and 5 American wannabe Terrorists
Tiger Woods is being disloyal to the one main thing that got him where he is, the game of golf. He needs to separate himself from his model wife, whom he would have never met if not for the game of golf, not the game of golf. Tiger misses the sage advice of his father, who would never have allowed him to abandon his golf game focus. I'm not judging what he is supposed to have done, unlike the rest of the no talent world. I'm simply telling him to get back to, and stick with the one thing that has never let him down, the game of golf, get back out there Tiger, separate yourself from everything else, not golf.

Christo - Fascism
(2 comments) I was at my favorite Pizza place when a jokey thing broke out. To start with my Spanish friends, Fred and his wife, own and operate an Italian Pizzeria in Lake Mary Florida called Dallis, with their several children chipping in. Somehow the conversation turned to my toppings and what the Spanish words were for Pepperoni, Ground beef and extra cheese. Someone said "Felice Navidad" and I quipped, "Oh that must be the Spanish words for my toppings." Fred smiled and laughed and his assistant, Pizza loco, laughed along and the delivery guy/guitar player said, "Hey that's a good one!" But that wasn't the end of the wonder that evening.

Karzai's Afghanistan and the Timetable
(1 comments) This will be a short blog, there's just not much to say about it. Karzai has to learn how to do more than just steal elections, he needs to unite Afghanistan and begin to do what real governments do, provide services to the people, build infrastructure like roads, organize local governments. The USA can not build the Nation, the Afghan people have to do that and this Karzai is either the solution or he's the impediment, the problem.

The "My Stopped Smoking" Blog
About six years ago I started smoking again after having stopped for thirty-five years. No, I don't know why, I suppose because I thought I could always quit again and it just seemed like fun again. It was fun and I did enjoy it, I got up to about one pack a day. But last January I decided that it was a good time to get back off them, especially considering my Dentist said there were burn lesions on the inside of my cheeks. There was also a financial incentive as the Democrats were raising the cigarette taxes to give children health insurance and other things I am sure. So In my mind I made a decision and realized on January twenty-eighth, that this would be the last day I would smoke. I still remember that last cigarette, each puff actually, I made it into quite a ceremony, an orgy of smoke.

Faux Fox Fight, Feeble Fake To Rally Somebody, I'm Sure
The News is still all about distractions and misleading and massaging political and special interests.

It's Not The Racism, It's The Fascism
(3 comments) The Health care debate has become blurred, politicised and blatantly mischaracterized. To tell me I don't like the "reform" simply because President Obama has some black blood in him is insulting. Let's be clear what it is that many people shouldn't like about this particular "reform"

Health Care Induced Authoritarianism
(1 comments) You listen to the nonsense that passes for the Health Care debate and you realize that this is all a red herring. So what are "they" really after, I mean besides your money? It's simple, the mandatory angle says it all, everyone will have to be on record and have an active status with the Federal Government. Not being in the system will quite simply be, a CRIME!. What really bothers me is that seems to be just fine with most people. Americans used to be a freedom loving people, proud of their individual independence, but no more.

The Revenge Of Sarah Palin
Wouldn't it be great if Sarah Palin, like Cynthia McKinney has realized that real change will come from outside of officialdom
