NASA Thickly Laying Circa 1950s 'Safe Atom Propaganda' About Plutonium-Rover Launch
Sometime between November 26 and mid-December NASA plans to launch by rocket its latest Mars rover, which is equipped with 10.6 pounds of plutonium-238 - considered among the most toxic substances in the universe. In the event of a worst case reentry of the plutonium-rover payload - and based on dose calculations relating to public health outcomes from a hypothetical burn-up of Cassini's plutonium RTG by Dr. Ernest Sternglass - I believe over 1 million fatal cancers could be induced.

The Black and White World of RECA
Over the past few months a Congressional A-team of Western Senators and Congresspersons had been drawing up and readying press releases and making changes to a draft bill that would effect a massive overhaul of an existing compensation law for Cold War radiation victims. Why now? What precipitated all of this? And why didn't they go after the very menace that caused this problem in the first place?

Today's Forecast: Sunny with a Chance of Nuclear Reactor
(2 comments) Do corporations and governments discourage widespread awareness on nuclear topics so they can cover up incidents when they occur and spare themselves culpability and financial settlements? You bet.

Your own island of humanity
We must reflect on our own selves and consider this: that if each one of us strives to become better humanitarians, then the world will, one day, follow; and the world will, one day, become a neighborhood of humanity.
