Impeachment, assassination and the moral zeitgeist
Nancy Pelosi with her impeachment is off the table position is indeed the most public face of opposition to impeachment. She is Speaker of the House and like all congressional representatives, including John Conyers who Chairs the House Judiciary Committee that is sitting on a call for impeachment hearings, she has taken an oath to defend the constitution against domestic enemies.
