Shh- don't tell anybody. Since the Korean War, we as a nation have decided that the Constitutional provision that only congress shall have the authority to declare war is obsolete. What an opportunity for President Obama, Doctor of Laws, to take us back to strict constructionism.

The war is not over. Every day, in our name, innocent Iraqis are being killed by frightened American soldiers who are in over their heads. Countless others are being inflamed against America. President Obama is committed to ending the war slowly. We can support him to end it quickly. I have committed to writing a letter each day until the war ends.

I don't think it's possible to move beyond the Bush legacy until we debunk the picture of reality that they created with the classical Orwellian tactic of repeating the Big Lie, and infiltrating the major news organs. It is essential that a new Democratic Administration investigate and exhibit for the nation the extravagant criminality of the Bush regime.
