A first generation South Asian American immigrant, she spent her youth and early adulthood immersed in the struggle for the American Ideal: a practical radical at heart; it left her wanting. Married twenty years, in the process of rearing two daughters; she now devotes her time to home, family, and writing fiction that exposes the morass that is the American Society.
