Some time ago I read some of the writings of Karen Armstrong, an ex-Nun and a member of the progressive Jesus Seminar. She wrote the best-selling books, The History of God, and The Battle for God, and she makes a lot of sense to me. Then I became a Deist and Unitarian Universalist after I read the writings of a man who not only feels the same way about the Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam). He suggests that we need a reformation of religion and a reformation of government, to create a family of equal religions, and to establish government that respects all religions equally and is truly of, by and for the people. He has inspired me to be a member of The Coalition of Jews, Christians and Muslims for Peace and Freedom, and The All Faiths Coalition for Peace and Freedom. Our web site is at: http://cjcmp.org

Do we have real freedom of religion? Is there a wall of separation between church and state? No. We are plagued by theocratic imposition driven by "religious" bigotry. And here is a musical message that is right on target.

I submit that it is, in spite of the Constitution and the real intent of the founding fathers, and consquently we do not have real religious freedom or equality.

Who is the person who fulfills religious prophecies of "the one to come?" The answer will surprise those who think they know, but his work will be a blessing for the poor and meek who shall inherit the earth.
