Adam Bessie is a Oakland, CA based essayist and community college writing/adult literacy instructor. As a writer and English professor, he is passionate about the power of words, and feels profoundly thankful for the opportunity to share that passion with others. He teaches a wide variety of writing and reading courses - from basic skills to more advanced research courses, and greatly enjoys watching students develop their ideas and voices, whatever level he meets them at.
