I am a voting security, accuracy, transparency, and campaign finance reform activist. I have started and succeeded in two local campaigns. The first was SAFE in Sarasota, to require voter verified paper ballots, and a hand audit of 5% of ballots cast to check electronic machines--it also required a full 100% hand count if the machines were not accurately counting to correct errors. The second was to implement Instant Runoff Voting (IRV) in the city of Sarasota where runoffs were previously used. The first got 55%, the second received 78% of the vote.
