Single mother of two daughters. Survivor of domestic violence and work violence. I became a secretary because that was the only opening that was plentiful. I got my fist job working in Silicon Valley as a receptionist in the mid-1970's. Several years later I applied for the Foreign Service and was accepted. One daughter was thrilled. One not so much. I was posted in a number of wonderful countries. I was in Tel Aviv for the first Gulf War and in Panama for the Noriega takeout. Spent time in Europe and several tours in DC. From there I went to work for DEA on the Southwest border. My last position before retirement was in the Executive Office of the President, Science and Technology Policy, the White House. So for I job I never wanted, and never liked, it served me very well in the end. So no complaints. I am retired and living in Northern California with my four horses and three dogs. All are rescues.
