A past member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, Tom Gallagher was George McGovern's lone platform committee representative in 1984, surrogate speaker for Jesse Jackson in 1988, supporter of Ralph Nader in 2000, and surrogate speaker for Dennis Kucinich in 2004 and 2008. He has written a book on the unrecognized potential of the presidential primaries and is waiting for some smart publisher to snap it up.
