Ana Zamora is Program Director at Death Penalty Focus. Ana graduated from Mills College in 2005. After graduation, Ana was hired on as the Training and Mitigation Associate at the California Appellate Project, one of the three state agencies that handle death penalty appeals in California. At CAP Ana had the opportunity to work alongside expert capital defense lawyers and psychologists and learn about California's dysfunctional death penalty system. Ana's work on these difficult cases, coupled with her personal faith, cemented her commitment to ending the death penalty in California and beyond.
