I've worked with computers since 1978. I helped to author the original version of the anti-virus application that evolved through various iterations to the larded-up-to-the-point-of-total-uselessness monstrosity now known as McAfee (back then it was the first such application offered to the public, predating Norton by over a year). I have been involved chiefly in systems development and data communications. I have developed and administered systems for NASA (where I spent the greater part of my career), the Department of Justice, and various local government agencies. I now live in Orlando, but I have lived nearly all of my life in the Washington, D.C., area.
