Born 1948, Salem, MA. Held TS Security Clearance, MACV/ SOG, RVN 1968. Defense Language Institute/Russian Linguist. Active Anti-War Movement 70s-80s. I am retired and deeply concerned for the consequences to our nation (indeed, the world) in uncritically accepting Bush,Inc explanation of 9/11. The political climate today is brutally abhorrent, and its cause is intentional. Political debates before Bush II were civil; presidents did not stonewall investigations into acts of war against US, gov't officials were not lauded for irresponsibility. Before Bush, a president would never reply "Whose side are you on?" when asked how two airplanes knocked down three World Trade Center buildings. And 10 years later be told a completely different story than the lie they first gave us. We've been intentionally traumatized & frightened to the point we can't think straight anymore. Where did the dialogue come from in that oh-so-patriotic movie of brave passengers aboard the 9/11 flight crashing in Pennsylvania? Why did no one say a word ten years later when Dick Cheney on Fox News admitted the plane didn't crash in Pennsylvania, he had it shot down! Hello? Ten years of propaganda wipes our minds so clean we don't care about Justice anymore? For those still believing Bush-version of events on 9/11, it is beyond their ability to know what occurred to their basic reasoning skills. Wake up! 9/11 was only a piece of a larger plan. There's more coming - not as dramatic and explosive as 9/11 but, mark my words, it's coming. Unfortunately, the fat lady hasn't sung her song yet. But when she does, believe me, you won't like the tune she sings. But, for now, the message is loud & clear: Don't tax the Rich, blame the Poor. One if by land, two if by sea. Good luck.

Hayseed Ruminations Reasoning which allows corporations to enjoy the same - if not more - rights and privileges as an ordinary citizen is absurd. Particularly insofar as ordinary citizens must report monetary amounts donated to political campaigns whereas corporations need not report amounts they donate. To think Citizens United is good for Democracy is to think money has no affect on politicans.

Honeybee Democracy A note primarily intended for those uncertain of the aims of the "Occupy" Movement and, generally, for anyone still with questions regarding our nation's current economic-financial malaise.
