Why I am Ashamed to be an American
(8 comments) It is my opinion that our children are being "set up" to fit into the military-industrial complex. No doubt the same thing happened to me. Even though I consider myself reasonably well-educated..... having obtained a Ph.D. degree, it took 9-11 to motivate me to go out and get a "real education." This article pretty well summarizes what I have learned about our country since the "Great Awakening" in New York City.
