Born in Texas, graduate of Texas A&M University, Southern Methodist University. Served six-year enlistment period in Air Force Reserve. Spent 25 years in the active clergy. Have been a printer, home remodeling contractor, water garden builder, paralegal, psychotherapist, divorce and community mediator, newspaper delivery man, college instrustor, volunteer at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, a Mason and two-time candidate for Congress. I have grown children in California, have three grandchildren and am married. We have an extensive water garden, greenhouse and flower gardens. We are experienced RVers, with over 53,900 miles and 1,100 hours on the road, anywhere from Maine to Washington state to California and all the states between. We travel with our rat terrier and two cats. My wife is a retired MedTech from South Dakota. I spend a significant time writing on public policy issues and my letters to the Editors have been published numerous times and write under the by-line, "POLITICS...with Love."
