Native Midwesterner now living in Washington, DC area.
The mandatory demographic questions OpEd forces us to answer are obnoxious and intrusive, and I treated them as such. Besides, isn't EVERYONE's education "limited" by their time, money, and energy?
And why is gender "Male" or "Female"? Alphabetically, that's backwards. And what about all the folks who are intersex or transsex, and those of us who prefer not to answer at all?
The OPTIONAL demographic questions are actually not so bad. At least OpEd explains why they want the data.
