Bob King is a long time political blogger, writing from a Progressive-Libertarian point of view that derives from his personal passion for justice and life-long experience as an "odd duck." He believes in free markets - and would like to see them in practice. He believes that what little government that exists should be of use to everyone, and that politicians should answer their phones without checking the donor list. He believes that diversity is not a swear word, nor is "liberal," nor is "conservative."

He dryly points out that calling yourself a conservative doesn't make you one, especially when your agenda is a rehash of national socialism.

The Abandonment of Moral Agency in America. I happen to think that Hugh Hefner demonstrates better morals and is a better example of a socially-concious, patriotic Citizen than any any randomly selected politician or pulpet-pounder you are likely to come up with as a counterexample. Why? Actions speak louder than words.

Drowning the EPA in a bathtub causes toxic blowback. The widespread ideological dismissal of everything that has been set up to put checks upon greed, rash actions and intrusions upon the privacy and liberty of the people is - aside from unethical with scattered clouds of evil - imprudent.
