Time for behavior adjustment – Ours To succeed with his pro-diplomacy agenda, president-elect Barack Obama must give up all attempts at gaining any leverage over Iran through sanctions because no "combination of incentives and disincentives" or any meaningful negotiation to resolve differences can even begin until all illegal sanctions already imposed are removed and Iran's nuclear dossier is returned to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Patrick Clawson seems to weigh the possible outcome scenarios of a hostile attack on Iran in the same cavalier and careless manner a prospective violator would consider speeding his vehicle down a freeway.

'In search of truth' It should come as no surprise that any reputable and unbiased media organization looking for expert Iran analysis would pay more than just lip service to vetting its sources and actually check the credentials of their pundits. But a cursory search for the truth behind Mr. Daioleslam's background in form of a simple Google search seems to challenge any notion of such scholarly prowess or dexterity.

America's Moral Deficit Trita Parsi begins his 2/27/08 opinion piece in the Inquirer titled 'Negotiating with Iran without Betraying Human Rights' by slapping the wrist of the current administration for its "apparent disregard for the expressed wishes of Iranian human-rights defenders". That warning may have fallen on some sympathetic ears even as early as six years ago. But unfortunately that is no longer the case.

NIE Report: Inventing Facts Many have been quick to characterize yesterday's NIE report on Iran as a long overdue "Honest Intel" that will suck the air out of warmongers' sails because it clearly states "with high confidence that in fall of 2003, Tehran halted its nuclear weapons program". But haven't report after report issued by IAEA in the many years since repeatedly confirmed non-existence of such nuclear weapons program in Iran?

Lynching at Columbia Apparent from the crowd of cheering onlookers who turned out in droves to execute the verbal equivalent of such hideous practice on the Iranian president, not much has changed in the last few decades. Just as the perpetrators of those acts would reinterpret them so they would not be seen as less than civilized, the modern executioner of this hanging hid behind an academic façade and his title as a University president.
