Iran War Resolution set to pass Congress this week.
(16 comments) Congress is set this week to vote in favor of military action against Iran. H.Con.Res. 362 urges the President "prohibiting the export to Iran of all refined petroleum products" and to impose "stringent inspection requirements on all persons, vehicles, ships, planes, trains, and cargo entering or departing Iran". This is nothing less than a call for a Naval Blockade.

Bolton wanted Iran to kick out Arms Inspectors, he tells AIPAC (audio track as well as text)
(2 comments) Bolton revealed to his AIPAC friends that he was really hoping that sanctions imposed by the UN last year would lead to "dramatic" action by Iran, such as witdrawing from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. This would then in turn lead to his hoped for "counter-reaction". It is chilling to think that this man was once US Ambassador to the United Nations.
