My work as a disability advocate helping people with disabilities help themselves with important legislation.
Article is my work as a local disability advocate in Philadelphia. I work with mental health consumers. My specific task was to help facilitate the clients to write to R. Senator Arlen Specter to support HR 5613. Protecting the Medicaid Safety Act. Specifically it was on helping to prevent cuts that would eliminate the services of intensive case managers. ICMs are the lifeline of the consumer, the community, mh system.
