Anzimee Faubion, 53, a life-long resident of Oregon, gives her father David Faubion, credit not only for her values of loyal patriotism and responsibility to her country, but for her talent for writing and communicating. Mr. Faubion was a Logger by day and writer by night. He wrote children's stories with marginal success for various publications, however, Faubion is best remembered for his outspoken political rants as a contributing editor for The Hoodland News, a small newspaper serving the Mt Hood area of Northwestern Oregon where Anzimee was born. Her father's often controversial style; frank and sometimes opinionated, drew heated debates from another area resident and contributor to the paper. These debates were well followed by the small mountain community. "Faubion and Foe" as the two were often referred to, stimulated readers with their strongly oppositional political views, thus, obliging the tightly knit community to be conversant on the issues of the day. However bitter their battles were in pen and ink, Anzimee knew, even at a very young age, that either man would have defended the others freedom of speech, had a threat to such arisen.
Anzimee additionally, gives credit to her father for her love of nature and the outdoors, particularly the moss carpeted, dense forests of lofty Douglass fir, native to Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. A "lay" botanist, the elder Faubion took his family on hikes throughout wilderness areas in Oregon. There, he taught his children survival skills; giving scientific names for flora and identification of native families of fauna. He carefully pointed out edible and medicinal plants and those untouchable plants such as the lethal "Angel of Death" mushroom; one so deadly, even neighboring, edible plants and mushrooms, he warned, should not be touched.
Later, while studying Broadcast Journalism and Speech Communication at Portland State University, Anzimee often led members of the college mycologist society in expeditions in the wilderness areas near the base of the mountain she loved.
Anzimee recently decided to zealously pursue her life-long interest in writing, particularly what she calls "Persuasive truth" journalism. Her focus; corruption in the American Justice System and the truth about our nation's Prison Industrial Complex.
Ms. Faubion has a grown son age 35 who lives and works in Bend Oregon. She has one granddaughter, born in the summer of 2009.
Anzimee is unmarried and living in Newberg, Oregon. She enjoys gardening, rock collecting, skydiving and fishing. Her best friend is a female pug "Lupie" who has been her constant companion for over eight years.

"Justice is for the prince; an oasis --" for the pauper: a mirage."
