I'm just an ordinary American who was raised to love what America stands for. America has given so much to so many. Yet we, the people, are divided as only once before. I seek the common ground that unites us as Americans, as friends, even our common humanity. At this moment in our history America needs to rediscover our common ground if we are to continue to form that "more perfect union," and keep "securing the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity." That is why I write.
