Retired and living in Key West with my partner Kent (of 30 years) and we may also live in Napa as we are waiting on a short-sale right downtown (yes, and we love cabs). My career started in the advertising industry (London) making about 50 commercials a year. Partnered with a friend and we started Videotel International making training/sales films for companies such as BP and the UK MOD. I also made programs for Channel 4 (British Independent TV station). I sold my share of the business to my partner and moved to the states and started a film company in SLC (Kent's family lived there). Then moved onto LA; after two years of trying to get features of the ground I gave up and helped a friend and his wife with the medical clinic in Hollywood which was having financial troubles - got them in the black after only 6 months and that was my start into the medical world. I stayed in health care (with major health insurance companies and providers) until I retired end of 2008. My interest are very scattered; chess, reading, philosophy, music, hiking, travel, scify, writing, squash, walking, wine, food, philanthropy, and DIY. My favorite authors are Bertrand Russell, Gore Vidal, Cicero (though he didn't write anything), Henry James, Tolkien and the list goes on. I have a great relationship, I think mainly because our politics and our non-religious beliefs - we are both progressive liberals. As far as being philanthropic suffice to say I am a Rotarian. My favorite quote; "I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination,
imagination is more important than knowledge.
Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world"
Albert Einstein and this one which is about 3500 years old; He who understands understands not he who understands not understands" Vedic
