I am an American who is a long time resident of Taiwan. I work as an editor, writer, translator and English teacher. I also occasionally do volunteer work for local NGOs that deal with issues such as human rights and the rights of foreign migrants and laborers. I am a student of history and international politics, and am a strong supporter of environmental causes and the rights of oppressed peoples around the world.
