Health Care Activists: A Special Note To Help You Bump Up Your Activism
Forcing people to buy Health Insurance is not going to drive prices down with or without a Public Option. It has failed miserably in Mass. causing premiums to rise for everyone 25% in the first 2 years after enactment of their mandated insurance program in 2006.This program has driven Mass. to the brink of economic ruin.Health Insurance does not equal Health Care.

Chicago Rally for our Healthcare at Obama/AMA Appearance Monday
Although we deserve Single Payer Health Care in this country,it is obvious to me that we are not going to get any farther with the call for only Single Payer. We will get nothing from Congress before we get Single Payer, the power of the For Profit Health Insurance Industry is just too great and they have openly bought off many members of Congress let's get real about this debate before it is too late!

Single Payer Health Care, here in ILLINOIS, if we fight for it on Tues, March 24th!
We have a Golden opportunity at this time to push this issue here in Illinois. Single Payer Health Care should be ours and could be ours, if we are willing to work hard for it! I know we deserve to just get it from our politicians, willingly, but reality dictates that we will have to take it by political will! So next week is our moment....

Gov. Blagojevich is not just one bad apple, the whole orchard is toxic
(9 comments) Do not be fooled by the media coverage of this event! It's important for you to understand the culture in which Obama was weened and schooled;the big money, wheeling dealing, hard knock school of IL politics!Gov. B is just particularly open and crass in his selling of favors and gov. jobs for campaign donations but it is&has been going on at all levels of our government;city, county&state, here in IL since Lincoln walked the land!

Our fragile dream, the rally last night and a plea to grow the Election Protection movement
We have a long way to go to really secure the elections. They have an analysis talking about how there is evidence that there was significant election fraud in a couple of states, the turnout just overwhelmed the efforts of whomever tried to steal the votes.I consider this election a potential disaster that was averted by the overwhelming voter turnout and the Election Protection efforts.Next time,if it is closer,it might not

Regarding Election Reform and What YOU Can Do
I would recommend meeting and writing to all your Reps and Sens and telling them exactly what you want, forget about the various rewrites and political shenanigans, just tell them what you want to see happen here!!!I for one want Paper Ballots and Hand Counts for all Federal Elections, it is NOT too much hassle and there is too much money and power involved at the Federal level to vote or count any other way, period end of sto

HR 550 vs HR 6200
So Kucinich has put in a bill HR 6200 calling for Paper Ballots and Hand Counts across America for the Presidential race of 2008! This is the bill that I recommend! We are going to have to convince the rest of America that we can conduct a citizens run election and so please do not make calls for HR 550 but call instead for HR 6200 and let's get America headed back towards real Democracy!!!
