I live in a cabin in the North woods--not quite as spare as Thoreau's but decidedly farther from the madding crowds. I was a child when FDR died, but I remember where I was and how I cried when I heard the news. I've been a liberal ever since.
I began my blog, Ramona's Voices, on Inauguration Day, 2009 in answer to Barack Obama's call to action. I'm a writer who, strangely, with unaccustomed cowardice, went underground for years using a variety of assumed names to voice my opinions about the Bush regime, about the decline of labor, about the need for Universal Health Care, using forums as my main soapbox. I've watched my country die a slow death long enough. Now I mean to be heard.
