I am a retired engineer, planner and environmental/transportation futurist with 33 years at AT&T and its precursors. On the subject of hydrogen railways I have spoken to classes and conferences at the US EPA, Duke University, Davidson College, Pfeiffer University, the U. of NC at Charlotte and in the last two years at hydrail events in London, Brussels, Vancouver, Oshawa, Bergamo (IT) and Valencia, Spain. Although my degree is in English Literature, I am a published Life Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. In cooperation with Appalachian State University and others, I've organized the annual International Hydrail Conferences in NC, Denmark, Valencia and-in 2009-at the University of NC at Charlotte (June11 & 12). The word "hydrail" first appeared in an article by me in the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy in 2004. Appalachian State U. runs the hydrail website referenced here.
