I am JoAnn M. Macdonald-- a passionate supporter of the United States of America and its Constitution, its Bill of Rights, especially the First Amendment. In this capacity I am an activist for civil rights for all humans, no exceptions. I belong to the ACLU, Equality Maryland, and other similar groups. I am concerned about the issues of global warming, alternative energy using the sun, wind and geothermal energies. I've lived long enough to see the effects of WWII and all the subsequent wars with their destruction to human lives. I struggled to raise four children when my husband died at 41, and I succeeded in seeing them be successful, contributing adults to our American society. Thankfully, I am a successful writer in my senior years with this book currently available at Amazon.com and other outlets: "Democracy vs. Theocracy: The President and The Senate Will Decide YOUR FUTURE". I also write biographies of Americans both deceased and currently living. Two of my early American women biographies are posted at the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations website: www.uua.org/duub. DUUB represents the Dictionary of Unitarian Universalist Biographies. The women are: Antoinette Brown Blackwell and Maria Mitchell. I am a Unitarian Universalist by ideology/spiritual path. Because of the undermining of America's Constitution by the powers behind the Religious Right, I am adamant about involving young persons ages 18-30 and new voters in the 2022 elections. My book focuses on the appointments to the U.S. Supreme Court by any President of the U.S. It is the President who nominates and the Senate which confirms the nominee. Currently, with Chief Justice John Roberts leading the Religious Right's cause in decision-making, citizens can see a further swing toward ultra-conservatism. Is this what you want? If not, get my book and get involved! I urge those who disdain politics and news about what is happening in the U.S. Federal government to stay alert. It is YOUR future and the future of your families who are at risk from ultra-conservatism and conspiracy theories.
