Fred Mitchell is an 80-year-old retired osteopathic physician, and a recovering liberal. From reading George Bernard Shaw's plays and political essays in high-school he became a Socialist. Then he joined the United World Federalists in 1949. He has repented both of these lapses of discernment, but finds the knowledge gained from these extended periods of his life useful as a God-fearing patriotic American. He is the author of four medical textbooks, and a Professor Emeritus of neuromusculoskeletal medicine.
